Goodbye 2008.  Hello Happy 2009!

2008 was a good year.  And God did many amazing things.  We are looking forward to all the amazing things God is going to do in the coming year!  

Sometimes people forget how to drive in the rain and snow.  Well this time of year, people forget they can’t drink and drive.  Remember to be safe while you are driving out there.  See you January 9th!!

Hey everyone!  Just a quick reminder that we ARE having Converge Friday night!  I will be providing the message titled: “The Dawn of Redemption”.  It’s a message that God has been talking to me about for the last couple of years and I can’t wait to share it with you.

We will be taking off Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 to give everyone time off to celebrate the Holidays!

Meetings will resume Jan 9th!   See you Friday night!

Man!  Isn’t this weather awesome?  Soon this drizzly rain will turn into big fluffy snow flakes.  And just when Omaha drivers get used to driving in the rain, they’ll forget how to drive all together and have to get used to driving in the snow.  It’s going to be great!

I have updated our “EVENTS” page with up coming November updates.  This month we’ve got a bowling night coming up (get directions here) and the “DUDES CAMPING TRIP” (a camping trip just for guys) just to name a few.  We have tons of stuff planned for November and December, so if you can’t make it to any events soon, just watch out, we have more coming your way. 

I want to make note on one specific thing:

Right now, Pastor Micah is going through a new series called “Assault”.  He is covering 4 specific lies that the world tells us, and he shows us how to counter those lies with the Truth found in the Word of God.

Afterhours!
After our meeting, come join us as we watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and eat tons of food.  After the movie we will have a costume contest with prizes to be won.  So come dressed for success!  We will also be playing a group wide game of “Capture the Glow Stick” (kinda like capture the flag). 

NEW SERIES:
Micah will also be starting a new series Friday night called “ASSAULT”.  For four weeks we will be covering lies that the world holds on to and be looking at what God’s truth actually is through His word.

Can’t wait till Friday!

Just a quick update for you all… Trivia Night has been moved to Friday night AFTER our meeting instead of having it on Saturday night.  So please make plans to stay after the service and enjoy a fun-filled night of trivia!

Hey people.  I have a few web related announcements and one non-web related announcement.

First with the web…
1. we now have a Facebook “Fan Page” so search for CONVERGE @ Trinity Church and become a fan!

2.  we will be having our own website soon.  So as long as Pastor Micah stops giving me stuff to do, I might have it up before my internship is over.  you’ll be able to find it at www.ConvergeOmaha.com …but not yet.

Also coming soon…. CONVERGE TRIVIA NIGHT!! (insert Price is Right theme here)
Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 7pm in room #239.  There will be food, a larger than life trivia game (obviously), and plenty of cheesy game show references.  Plus it will be a good time to get to know each other a little bit more.  And after the night is over, we will spade and neuter our pets!
